From January 1 to February 20, 2026, children under the age of 15 will continue to travel free of charge. On the day they turn 15, the free travel will expire.
To benefit from the free travel it is essential to travel with a personalized Barik card (with photo and name). Children under 6 years of age do not need a card.
In addition, the current discounts will remain in place during the second half of 2025, with Gazte tickets retaining a 50% discount and all other tickets (Bidai, Creditrans, Gizatrans, and Ascensor 10 trips) receiving a 40% discount.
How to obtain a personalized Barik card?
It can be requested at any Customer Service Office, located in Bilbao, Ansio, Portugalete, Areeta, Leioa, Durango, Gernika and Sodupe. Consult details of the offices here.
If you already have an unpersonalized Barik card, it can be reused and incorporate the person's data.
