Metro Bilbao has activated the new charging points for electric vehicles that the Bizkaia Transport Consortium (CTB) has installed in the Etxebarri, Leioa and Ibarbengoa park-and-ride parking lots. This initiative makes it easier for users to charge their electric vehicles while using the metro service.
There are 3 double recharging points using wall chargers in Etxebarri, 4 double recharging points using floor chargers in Leioa and 4 double recharging points using wall chargers installed on floor -1 in Ibarbengoa. Each of the charging posts has two 22 kW connections, thus offering fast charging of the batteries.
The service is managed through the EVcharge app, available for iOS and Android devices, which can be accessed by scanning a QR code on each post. Through the app, users can locate available points, activate charging, follow the process in real time and make payment easily.
